Get to Know Me
Hi there! I’m Grace Callahan—a Christian blogger, biblical history enthusiast, and storyteller who can’t stop talking (or writing!) about the Nativity. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the story of Christ’s birth—not just as a beautiful Christmas scene, but as a powerful, real moment in history that continues to shape who we are and how we believe.
Before I ever started blogging, I spent years teaching Sunday school. That’s where my love for Scripture deepened, and where I first realized how easily we rush past familiar stories. The Nativity isn’t just a quiet night in Bethlehem—it’s a story of courage, faith, and divine interruption. It’s about real people—Mary, Joseph, shepherds, travelers—each with fears and questions, yet each chosen to play a part in God’s redemptive plan. I wanted to explore that story more deeply—and to invite others to see it through fresh eyes.
My writing blends biblical history, cultural insight, and faith-based reflection. I love digging into the world behind the text—what Bethlehem looked like in 1 BC, how Jewish and Greco-Roman customs shaped the events, and how early Christians understood the miracle of the Incarnation. But I also love connecting those discoveries to real life today—how the Nativity speaks into our own seasons of waiting, obedience, and wonder.
Coming from a mixed-racial background, I’ve also grown to appreciate how culture shapes our faith traditions. Around the world, people tell and celebrate the Nativity in beautifully different ways, each revealing another facet of God’s love for all nations. Exploring those differences—and the unity behind them—has become one of my favorite parts of this journey.
If you’ve ever wished the Nativity felt closer, more vivid, or more relevant beyond December, you’re in the right place. My hope is to help you experience it not just as a story you know, but as a truth that lives and breathes within you.
So grab a cup of coffee (or cocoa!) and join me as we rediscover the Nativity—not as a distant event, but as a story that still changes hearts, families, and faith today.
👉 Let’s keep the light of Bethlehem burning all year long.
